Willard Anderson, 88, of Kelliher died Saturday at the Good Samaritan Center in Kelliher.

Mr. Anderson was born March 26, 1901, to Ben and Inga Anderson. He came to the Shotley area at the age of 6 months. He married Edna Benz in December 1930 at Bemidji. They lived and farmed at Shotley, until moving to Kelliher in 1974. He had worked for the telephone company for many years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church at Shotley and had served on the church board and on the Shotley Town Board.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lillian Braaten of Dubuque, Iowa, and Delores Powell of Hutchinson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Laura Edlund of Kelliher.

He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
