Rites Held For Mrs. Albritton at Prosperity

Final rites for Mrs. Ida Susan Jones Albritton, 96, were held at 2 p.m., Monday from the Ideal Baptist Church with
the Rev. Clarence Keene officiating. Burial was held in the Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born in Macon County on April 14, 1879, she was the daughter of the late Elisha and Elisa Jones. She was a housewife and widow of the late John J. Albritton. Mrs. Albritton was the oldest member of the Ideal Baptist Church.

Mrs. Albritton died on February 11 in the Americus Sumter County Hospital.

The Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge of arrangements. Those serving as pallbearers were Fred Dixon Jr., Richard Albritton, Tommy Albritton, Mark Murphy, Melvin Albritton, Stanley Albritton, Cecil Parks and Gary Dixon.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Douglas Braswell of Montezuma, Mrs. I. M. James of Marianna, Mrs. Marvin Murphy of Ellaville and Mrs. Fred Dixon of Ideal; four sons, John B., Homer and Felton Albritton all of Ideal and Maurice J. Albritton of Meansville; 25 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
