Vera Gordon Jones, age 82, passed away May 22, 1999.
Born October 20, 1916 in Smithfield, UT to Samuel and Harriet Meckle Gordon. Married Ted E. Jones, August 13, 1949; later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, November 22, 1990.
She was very active in Alanon for 35 years.
Survivors: two sons, Jack G. Jones of West Valley City, Casey E. (Debbie) Jones of West Jordan; daughter, Teddie (LaRon) Smith of Meridian, Idaho; son-in-law, Leslie Olmstead; sister, Hazel Baldwin of Beaver, UT; brother, Arval P. (Barbara) Gordon of American Fork; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by her daughter, Joanna Marie Olmstead, March 17, 1993.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 1999, 1 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 East, where friends may call at the mortuary, one hour prior to the service.
