She was born on 27th August 1868 and baptised at St Botolph's Church, Northfleet, on 14th February 1869. and grew up at 4 Huggens Cottages, Northfleet and later 11 The Creek, Northfleet.
She was admitted to the Sturge School, Northfleet High street on 3rd April 1876, enroled with the surname Davis. She re-enroled 21st October 1878 and left the school for the last time aged fifteen on 19th October 1883. At the time of the 1891 census she was living with her brother, Thomas, at 26 Rose Street, Northfleet.
She married Jessey Bradford on 23rd August 1891 at St Botolph's church, Northfleet. They lived first at 27 College Street, Northfleet, but by the time of the 1901 census they were living at 48 Samaritan Grove with their five children, Frederick (1892), Rose (1894), Amelia (1896), Charles (1898) and John (1900).
She died in February 1952 and was buried in Northfleet Cemetery, grave number 10N.
