MEMPHIS - Annie Bell "Ann" Miller, 90, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born Dec. 30, 1921, to Robert L. and Lula Ann Miller. She was retired from South Central Bell, where she was an operator. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. She enjoyed painting, golf, theater, going to the opera, being involved in politics, and she loved her family.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

She is survived by one nephew, Mitch (Deb) Barrett of Booneville; five nieces, Luann (George) Purnell of West Point, Susan (Chris) Benson of Hattiesburg, Betty Pace of Booneville, Linda Bryant of Dallas, Texas, and Angela (Larry) Pounds of Marietta; a host of great-nephews and great-nieces; and a special friend, Dr. Binford H. Peeples of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Horace Miller; two sisters, Maxine Green and Rachel Barnett; and her grandmother, Aravella Chittom.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today.
