Child of Phillip Wilhelm Wenzel and Amelia Marten Lampke and wife of Lewis E. Kelley. Known as Mildred or Millie.

Born in Rensdorf Abben, Kreis Schubin, Posen, West Prussia.

Marriage on May 12, 1903 in Oneida County, Wisconsin. Divorced.

Obituary from The Rhinelander Daily News newspaper dated Thursday, September 7, 1939:

Mrs. Mildred Wenzel Kelley, 65, a resident of Rhinelander for 35 years died at her home, 709 Randall avenue, at 9:30 o'clock last night. She had been seriously ill with heart disease since Sunday.

Before her death, Mrs. Kelley witnessed the wedding ceremony in her home at 8 o'clock last night which united her son, Floyd, in marriage to Miss Frances Root, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Root, of Tripoli. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Reverend Ralph V. Austin.

Mildred Wenzel was born in Ruidof, Germany on May 22, 1879. She came to Rhinelander in 1904. She worked as a private nurse here. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge.

She is survived on one son, Floyd, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Gropengieser, of Rhinelander; two brothers, August Wenzel, of Peshtigo, and William Wenzel, of the town of Pelican.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Kelley home on Randall avenue at 2 o'clock on Saturday and in the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in Forest Home cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Guenther, C. P. Moeller, Barto Howard, Carl Edmund, Al Hintz and Harry Hoffman.
