Mrs. Brescia dies at age 82

Mrs. May R. Brescia, 82, mother of several prominent Columbusites, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at The Medical Center after a short illness. She resided here at 2923 12th Ave.

Mrs. Brescia was born here on Oct. 12, 1886, a daughter of the late Tom and Luticia Gammell Robinson.

She was a member of East Highland Methodist Church, the United Daughters of The Confederacy, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, she also was a life member of the Woman's Society of Missionary Service.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mell S. Pelot, Atlanta; four sons, Phillip J. and Joseph B. Batastini and Jack and Billy Brescia all of Columbus; a brother, T. T. Robinson, Shreveport, LA; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two nieces.

May lived to the age of 82.
