Full Obituary: Ferdinand J. Gadzinski 84, of 4317 Center Road, Manitowoc, died early Monday morning, March 14, 2011 at Appleton Health Care Center, Appleton.

He was born on September 7, 1926 in Manitowoc son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Markowski) Gadzinski.

Ferdinand served in the United States Army in the Pacific and Phillipines during WWII in the 138th division.

On August 20, 1949 he married the former Evangeline M. Klein at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2010.

Ferdinand was employed as a Welder and Journeyman for the Manitowoc Shipbuilder's Company for forty years, retiring in 1987.

Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law; Peter and Pam Gadzinski, Ishpeming, MI, Joseph and Sandra Gadzinski, Caryville, TN, Fredrick and Karen Gadzinski, Greenville, Louis and Kathleen Gadzinski, Kaukauna, Jerome and Diane Gadzinski, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law; Marilee and Robert Sieracki, Manitowoc, 16 grandchildren; Eric, Neal, Julie, Jennifer, Craig, Amber, Rick, Matthew, Elena, Michael, Jeremy, Timothy, Dennis, James, Jerome, Jr. And Crystal Gadzinski, four great grandchildren, one sister; Marie Herzog, Florida, one sister-in-law; Caroline Zilk, Casco. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by; one infant daughter; Teresa, one grandson; Mark, seven brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM on Friday, March, 18, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
