Iona was born to Robert Denyon Divelbiss and Angeline Shorthill on March 30th 1894 in Spatburg Pennsylvania. Iona came from a line of coal miners. One of her grandfather's David R Shorthilll, was a coal-miner turned gold-miner. (David's history can be found in Livingston Montana). He was one of three gold-strikers to hit gold in Emigrant Gulch, Montana, in paying quantities.
Iona married Burk Osborne on January 13th 1912 in Jefferson Pennsylvania. They had at least two children Sara and Burk Thomas.
Iona died from influenza on November 14th 1920 in Midland Beaver Pennsylvania.
