96, died Sunday, February 12 at Seton Medical Center, Daly City. Mrs. Egerman was born July 26, 1915, in Sinnott Township, Marshall Co, Minnesota, to Henry and Rose (Kraus) Halfmann. She graduated from Stephen High School in 1932 at the age of 16. After taking a secretarial course at a business college, she moved to California, eventually settling in San Francisco. For most of her career, she worked for the federal government.
On December 12, 1959, she married Alvin Prince Egerman at St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco. They had been married for 46 years when he passed away in January of 2006.
Surviving her are five nieces and nephews: Bonita (Halfmann) Burnson and Patricia (Halfmann) Gfrerer of St. Paul, MN; Paulette (Halfmann) Sikora of Tucson, AZ; Craig Halfmann of Stephen, MN; and Wayne Halfmann of Phoenix, AZ, plus five great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews; Also survived by stepchildren, Howard & Paul Egerman, and Bonnie (Egerman) Jaffey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers Leo and Paul.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service at 7 pm on Friday, February 17th, at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home in San Mateo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory Catholic Church in San Mateo, on Saturday, February 18th at 10:00am. Private Interment will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo. Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home.
