LELA PYLES - Homemaker. Lela C. Pyles, 70, New Hope Road, Nancy, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1996, at her residence.
She was born in the Faubush community (Vinnie) Oct. 3, 1925, daughter of the late Cornelius and Jewrettie Frye Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, J.D. Pyles, whom she married Dec. 1, 1962; two daughters, Teresa Ann Pyles, Nancy, and Lisa Lynn Pyles, Louisville; two brothers, Arvil Wilson, Russell Springs, and James Wilson, Nancy; four sisters Sylvia Walters, North Vernon, Ind., Flora Foster, Jackson, Mich., Orpha Faulkner, Nancy, and Betty Langley, Julian, N.C.; several nephews and nieces, including Retha Fern Walters.
She was preceded in her death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Wilson; and a sister, Roxie Tucker.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Nancy Funeral Home with the Revs. Garlin Wilson and Harlan Avera, Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
