The son of the late Willis and Emily Lawson Weddle, he was born Jan. 7, 1873. He married Vona Pyles Sept. 13, 1904 and 12 children were born to this marriage. Two sons preceded him in death.
Mr. Weddle made a profession of faith 53 years ago and united with the White Oak Baptist Church. He held the office of deacon in this church until his death.
Mr. Weddle is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Bombaci, San Jose Calif., Mrs. Gladys Daulton and Opal Weddle, both of Nancy, and Olive Weddle, Dayton, Ohio, six sons, Arnold, Earnest, and Verl Weddle, all of Nancy, James and Gordon Weddle, both of Norwood, Ohio, and Earl Weddle, Erlanger, Ky.
He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Laura Barrow, Decatur, Ill, Mrs. Bessie Gutherie, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Nannie Floyd, Somerset; three brothers, Arch and Clarence Weddle, both of Somerset; and John Weddle, Detroit; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the White Oak Baptist Church, the Rev. Walter Jones officiating. Burial was in the White Oak Cemetery.
