Killis Pyles, 53, Cains Store died Monday at the Somerset City Hospital following an illness of five months.

Funeral services were held today at the Cedar Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Tully Turner and Rev. W.R. Bradshaw officiating. Burial was in the White Oak Cemetery.

The son of Sallie Garner Pyles and the late V.K. Pyles, he was born in Nancy, July 12, 1916. He and the former Kathleen Kissee were united in marriage June 1, 1942.

He is survived by his mother, Sallie Garner Pyles, Kettering, Ohio, his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Crockett, Frankfort, and Mrs. Kaye Harris, Cains Store; two brothers, Dennie and Lawrence Pyles, both of Kettering, Ohio, two sisters Mrs. Lorene McLin, Nancy, and Mrs. Pauline Beshears, Kettering, Ohio, and three grandchildren.

He was a lifelong resident of Cains Store, a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of the Cedar Point Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.

The Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
