In the year 1800, a little girl was born on the shores of Grand River, near the present village of Muir, of French and Indian parentage. Her father was a noted trader by the name of Joseph Bailly, the name in French being-spelled Bailey. As a child she traveled with her father as he went about trading. She was educated in French on Mackinac Island by Mme. LaFramboise. There she met and married Henry G. Graveraet, Jr. They had a son, Garrett, and two girls, Roseine and Alice. Both her husband and son joined Company K, 1st Michigan Sharpshooters in the Civil War and she lost both of them in combat.

Widow. Died due to an unknown cause. State of Michigan Emmet County 1892 death register.
