Estella was the youngest of four children born to Effie Edwina (Bishop) and Alexander Muir, Jr. of Portland, Oregon. Estella's mother died two days after Estella's birth. In her early childhood, Estella lived with her grandparents, William and Elizabeth Bishop, and aunt and uncle, Mary (Bishop) and William O. Stanard, also of Portland, as well as her father, stepmother Kate (Gibbs) Muir, and older siblings. She attended school in the Mt. Tabor area of Portland and graduated from Monmouth College as a teacher. She attended University of Oregon after that. Her first teaching job was in Astoria, where she met Anthony John Antonich who was born and raised in Astoria. They married 26 Jun 1926 Portland, Oregon. The couple had 3 daughters: Rosemary, Katherine and Margaret. They made their home in Astoria. Her husband worked in the fishing industry for Columbia River Packers and later, was an insurance agent in Astoria. Estella died in a car accident in Astoria at age 56. Her husband and children survived her.
