Gerald "Max" Hebb, age 67, a resident of rural Fall River, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was born on April 17, 1945 in Eureka, Kansas the son Manley Lee and Letha Blanche (Jontra) Hebb.

Max attended grade school and high school in Fall River and was a graduate of Fall River High School. Max was a rancher and knew all the blood lines of all his horses and bulls. He loved riding saddlebroncs and bulls in rodeos and for many years was part of the Hebb Rodeo Company putting on rodeos all over the Midwest. Upon his return to Kansas Max and Gary started putting rodeos on. He loved driving his truck and meeting people and during harvest Max helped out his neighbors by hauling grain for them in his trucks. Max enjoyed hunting and during hunting seasons he enjoyed hunting raccoons, and bobcats, he also enjoyed fishing and riding his horse Hot Rod.

Max is survived by his wife Mary (Mel) Leisure of the home, his children; twins Misti Hebb and Marty Hebb and his wife Vicki all of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, Sara Hebb and her fiancé Nick Drews of Easton, Wisconsin and Austin Hebb of Fall River, Kansas, three brothers; Carvel Dean Hebb, Donald Hebb both of Fall River and Gary Hebb of Howard, Kansas, one sister Donna Cross of Eureka, Kansas, grandchildren; Charg, Cache, Cinch, Marty Cruz, Elena, and Kelci Hebb and Tyler Drews, many extended family members and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Melvin Hebb and Rolland Hebb, and two sisters; Phyllis Dudgeon and Kathy Hebb.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Fall River United Methodist Church with Pastor Charlotte Coates officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery southwest of Fall River. Family suggests memorials to the Fall River Boosters and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
