She was the youngest of seven children born to Frank and Ada (Perkins) Kearney on Sept. 28, 1919, in Ithaca, Richland County. Alice was united in marriage to Francis James Gault July 3, 1936. Alice was employed at various retail businesses in Portage, and later was employed at the UW Hospital as a histological technician. After retirement, she and Francis moved to Stoughton.
She is survived by her two children, Addie Ree Gault of Stoughton and Bill E. (Judi) of Appleton; two grandchildren, Jill and Bradley; three great-grandsons, Caiden, Isaac and Braxtyn; a sister, Iva Walker of Tempe, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Capuano of Milwaukee; and a number of nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years and five siblings.
Private family services will be held at her request. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Hospice Care of your choice or to the Skaalen Home in Alice's name. A special thanks to the staff of Skaalen Home, Stoughton Community Hospital and Hospice Care.
