Carl Glanville died March 18, 2011. Born May 4, 1923, to Carlen and Mary Glanville, he was raised in Colorado, California and Oregon. Carl moved to Anchorage in 1943 where he worked for Alaska Star before moving to Cordova to work as a mechanic and pilot for Cordova Airlines and Mudhole Smith.

It was in Cordova that he met and married Dessie Headly, his beloved wife of 56 years. Carl and Dessie moved to Oregon for a few years where their four children were born.
