Mary Rose Schneider was the daughter of Philip Schneider and Katherine Schoenbeck. She married George Matz December 15, 1906. They farmed in Edmunds County South Dakota until 1920, when they sold the farm and moved to Aberdeen, SD. They had four children Hazel Bernice 1913, Gertrude Elenore 1915, Bernard Berdell 1922 and Ronald 1928. They moved to Oregon in 1946 where George worked in the logging industry. After his death in 1963, she returned to Aberdeen, SD where she lived until her death in 1970.
