On May 1902, William married Anna Schmidt at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc, WI; she was age 19, he was 28. Born 19 December 1882 in Milwaukee, WI; Anna was the oldest of five daughters born to John & Marianna Gertrud (Dyx/Deeks -- née Gbur) Schmidt.
A successful farmer with his own farm near the village of Athens, WI for over twenty years; in 1924, he "retired" as a farmer and moved to Manitowoc, where he worked as a carpenter/contractor. William died 15 November 1947 in Manitowoc, WI at age 74.
