Born 19 February 1917 on his parent's family farm near Athens, WI; Andrew was the eighth of thirteen children born to William & Anna (Schmidt) Junk.


On 26 December 1938, Andrew married Mardell C. Korbol at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc, WI; he was age 21, she was 19. Born 19 December 1919 in Manitowoc, WI; Mardell was the youngest of five children born to Thomas & Agnes (Mrotek) Korbol.


Andrew died from old age on 25 September 2007 at his home in Manitowoc, WI at age 90.


From his obituary (Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter; 27 September 2007): "Andrew was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during WW-II. He was employed with the City of Manitowoc, retiring after many years of service. Andrew enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, especially smoking fish for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him."
