Eddie Truman Cook, 52, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday morning at his farm at Kingston. A lifetime resident, he was born in the county Jan. 3, 1911, the son of Charles C. Cook and Dorothy Logan Cook, and was a Forest Ranger.
Survivors are his wife, Roxie of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Charlene Grigg of Kingston; one son, Bobby Ray Cook of Kingston, his mother, Mrs. Dorothy "Dolly" Cook, of Kingston; one sister, Mrs. Flossie Smith of Kingston, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Kingston community church conducted by the Rev. Cecil Garrison. Burial was in the Kingston cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Doyle Little, Doyle White, Dorsey White, Hugh Walden, Don Bolinger and Curtis Grigg.
