Cora Pearl Lionberger, 88, Robinson, died about 4:30 a.m. Sunday at the Skilled Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital. Born in Prairie Township on July 11, 1899, she was the daughter of Orren Henry and Laura Elizabeth Rhoades Smith. She was a homemaker, member of Porterville Christian Church, Roay Neighbors of America and the Rebekahs.

She married Edmund Ray Lionberger, and he died Aug. 26, 1953. Two brothers, Frank and Herbert Smith, preceeded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Paul Henry Lionberger, Morgan City, La, Dwight Ray Lionberger, Burkburnett, Texas, Warren Wayne Lionberger, Springfield, and Dean Alfred Lionberger, Lawrenceville; two dauthers, Mrs. Allen (Jane Elizabeth) Monts, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif., and Muriel A. Lionberger, Robinson; 3 brothers, John Smith, Allendale, Harold Smith, Robinson, and Merlin Smith, Hutsonville, a sister Ethel Leggitt, Oblong; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson with Brother Phil Young officiating. Burial is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, south of Annapolis. Robinson Daily News, 9 Nov 1987
