Age 72,- died unexpectedly on Wednesday October 18. 2000 at his home.
He was born on September 28, 1928 in the Town of Charlestown, son of the late Peter and Eleanor (Salm) Biese.
He married Ruth Becker on May 14, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton.
He served in the United States Army in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. He had farmed in the Town of Charlestown, and later worked for the Kohler Co. for 22 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton.
Roman enjoyed woodworking, making clocks, traveling, and most of all his grandchildren.
Survivors included his wife, Ruth, seven daughters: Sharon (Allan) Behringer, Neenah; Janet (Dan) Junker, Sheboygan; Jean Biese, Sheboygan; Linda (Scott) Dolgner, Green Bay; Sandy Biese, Brillion; Carla (Mark) Kislewski, Neenah; Nicole Biese, Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren; four sisters: Delores (Gilbert) Veit, Chilton; Eleanor (Robert) Gebhart, Kiel; Betty (Donald) Hennings, Elkhart Lake; Caroline (Clarence) Schneider, Chilton; four brothers: Martin (Rogene) Biese, New Holstein; Kenneth (Betty) Biese, New Holstein; Clarence (Mary Jane) Biese, Chilton; Floyd (Bernice) Biese, Chilton; a sister-in-law, Arlene (Wayne) Maile, Brillion; many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday October 23, 2000 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton, with the Rev. Gary New S.D.S. officiating. Cremation will follow services, and his cremated remains will be buried in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St. on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. when family prayers will be held.
