HARRY HOLLANDSWORTH

Harry B. Hollandsworth, 67, Rt. 4, Bassett, died Saturday morning in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was a retired employe of Stanley Furniture Co. with 21 years service.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Bassett American Legion Post 11; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Martinsville and the Paul Shorter Chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Born Feb. 4, 1909 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Lorella Craddock and John B. Hollandsworth. He attended Wayside Tabernacle Holiness Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Mary Hutter Hollandsworth; one son, Leroy Hollandsworth, Collinsville; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Payne, Smithfield, Va.; one grandson; three brothers, Alfred G., John J. and the Rev. Troy Hollandsworth, all of Bassett; and three sisters, Mrs. Velma Sink and Mrs. Lessie Adkins, both of Bassett and Mrs. Orpha Mize, Patrick Springs.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bassett-Mize Funeral Home, Bassett, by the Revs. Ray Craiger and Roy Lewis. Burial will be in Roselawn.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
