Dallas "Hoy" Fellure

Dallas "Hoy" Fellure, 85, of Fraziers Bottom was called to his eternal home on February 4, 2010.

He was a member of Mt. Union United Methodist Church. His ambition in life was soul winning. He was a faithful contributor to the Wings of Eagles.

Hoy was born July 26, 1924, served his country in WWII on the USS San Jacinto in the Pacific War Theater, along with George H.W. Bush, retired from Gustva Wiedike of Dayton, Ohio.

After retirement, he and his family moved back to Fraziers Bottom in 1973 where he enjoyed farming. Hoy was a bus driver for Putnam County Schools and retired in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ercel and Edythe Fellure.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years Betty; sons, Hoy Jr. and wife Becky, and Steven and wife Katie; brother Lester Fellure and wife Dortha; sisters, Zeda Ferguson; Hettie Hammond; Avaline Racer and husband Jim; and Emma Hammond; grandchildren, Melissa Kester, husband Ted and sons TC and Nick; Jennifer Kuhl and husband Roy and children Alex, Roy Gene and Dylan; Stephanie Lunsford and children Payton, Mady Jo, Brody and Haley Lunsford; Melanie Kelley and husband Kevin and sons Jacob, Joshua, and Kaleb; Andrea Boggess and husband Paul and daughters Nora Grace and Anna Beth; Karleigh Scott and husband Andrew and Marion Steven Fellure and many special friends.

A tribute to Hoy's life will be at 1:30pm at Mount Union United Methodist Church, Pliny on Sunday February 7, with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Pastor Paul Boggess and Pastor Randy Sites will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors provided by the John Marshall American Legion Post 187, Winfield.

Visitation will also take place from 6-8pm Saturday February 6 at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.

Memorial donations may be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W. Charleston, WV 25312.
