Cynthia A. Nelson, age 90, of 1021 Division St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, May 11, 1998, at Northridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Private family services were held at 10 a.m. today, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Simensen officiated, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born March 10, 1908, in Norwood Park, Ill., daughter of the late Ulrich and Mary Turtle Braasch. On June 22, 1926, she married Oscar Nelson in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death December 2, 1986. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Rebecca Lodge of the Oddfellows.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Robert Stephani, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Elaine Nelson, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, Paula Schultz, Diana Leigh Haver, Robin Stephani, John Stephani, Laura Kempfert, Kathleen Bernado, Michael Nelson; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sister, Nina Brunner, Manitowoc, and Esther Donavan, Rockway Beach, Mo.; one brother, Thomas Braasch, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
