Paul N. Nelson, 93, of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at Park Lawn Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Nelson was born Nov. 9, 1876 at Green Bay, son of the late Ole and Sarah Hoverson Nelson. He married Ida Gullickson Dec. 6, 1897, in Town of Carlton, Kewaunee County. They moved to Manitowoc where he was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Corp. He retired in 1941. He was a member of the Men's Club of the church. His wife preceded him in death in 1953.
Survivors include two sons, Oscar and Clarence of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Esther) Houghton of Manitowoc, Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Jacobs of Winston Salem, N.C., and Mrs. G.A. (Agnes) Pape of Juneau, Wis.; two brothers, Oscar of West Allis and Lester of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Hendrickson and Mrs. Estelle Tubbs of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. A daughter, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 pm Friday until 9:15 pm and at the church Saturday.
Memorials in his memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building fund.
