Glenwood Resident Dies Yesterday

R. R. Watkins died at 6:15 last night at his home in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 tomorrow morning at the Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. LeRoy Lawson, rector of St. Barnabas Church, officiating.

OTHER INFORMATION:

I believe he had an automobile accident sometime between 1920 and 1940 somewhere in the Detroit metropolitan area. I am not sure if the accident occurred in Wayne or Macomb County, Michigan, as I have never been able to find a record of it. However, my mother told me that her father, Ralph Edmund Watkins, supported his brother after the time of this accident until his death. The accident was one of the reasons he moved to Florida, because the weather there was better for him. The automobile accident is also why Marjorie "Madge" and Lenard G. Thompkins were living with him in the 1940 U. S. census. As I mentioned above, Madge was a nurse during World War I.
