"Mrs. Flora Kane Chapman of Fly Creek, died Wednesday morning in Cooperstown after a declining period of health, dating from last October. Born in Sharon Hill March 25, 1859, she was the daughter of John (Kinney) Kane and Myraette (Hyde) Kane. Most of her life had been lived in the vicinity of Fly Creek. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Zyron Crandall, Norwich; three brothers, Melvin D. Kane, Fly Creek; Dorr B. Kane, Oaksville and John Kane, Garrattsville and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the Ingalls Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. F. W. Connell, Methodist pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Fly Creek cemetery."
