FRANCES BRAASCH

Miss Frances Marion Braasch, 31, died at her home, 908 South 20th street, at
1:30 this morning following an illness of more than a month. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the St. James Episcopal
church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken to the
church from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home at 10 o'clock Tuesday
morning. It may be viewed at the funeral home from Sunday noon until the time
of removal to the church.
Miss Braasch was born in Norway Park, Ill., October 28, 1905. She came to
Manitowoc at the age of four with her parents. After graduating from the high
school here in 1923, Miss Braasch attended the county training school and then
went to the Oshkosh State Normal school. She taught school in the county of
Branch, Meadow Brook, Maribel and Reedsville. She was a member of the St. James
choir and was engaged to marry William H. Tyson, 427 North 6th street.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. W.C. Smith, city; two brothers, Urlrich and
Thomas, both of Manitowoc; and five sisters, Mrs. Oscar Nelson, Mrs. Orvill
Bentley, Miss Elizabeth Braasch and Miss Nina Smith all of Manitowoc, and Mrs.
Gerald Donovan of Peshtigo.
