Mrs. Lillian Bruechert, 80, formerly of 2121 Fairmont St., Manitowoc, died
Thursday evening following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Theodore Vinger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bruechert, nee Lillian Hartwig, was born March 15, 1893, at Chicago,
daughter of the late Karl and Wilhelmina Wilck Hartwig. She was married to Louis
Bruechert Nov. 27, 1915, at Chicago, coming to Manitowoc to reside. Her husband
preceded her in death in 1970. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and a
former member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include a son, Frederick C., of Manitowoc, four daughters, Mrs. John
(Lois) Hoge and Mrs. Reinhart (Jeannie) Herzog, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Martin (Lillian)
Schoening, of Appleton and Mrs. Melvin (Eleanore) Baumann, of Kiel; a sister, Mrs.
Ella Baumann, of Louisville, Ky., 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Two
daughters and a great grandchild preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9 o'clock this Friday
evening until 11:30 a.m. Saturday and from noon at the church until the time of
service. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
