MARY BRUECHERT (d. 1968)

Mrs. William Bruechert, 70, who resided with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Oscar Glaeser, 707 Revere Dr., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John United Church of Christ,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Bruechert, the former Mary Scott, was born Oct. 28, 1897, at Elbridge, Mich.,
daughter of the late Frank and Jessie Cole Scott, and came to Manitowoc in 1917
where she was married to Mr. Bruechert Feb. 17, 1923. Her husband died in 1943.
Mrs. Bruechert had been employed at Johnson Hills Inc., Department Store
Survivors include a son, Robert, of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Karl, of
Menasha, Orin, of Muskegon, Mich., and William R. of Manitowoc; five sisters, Mrs.
Oscar Glaeser, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Walter Mueller, of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Carl Dittmer,
of Hialeah, Fla., Mrs. Henry Herzog, of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Lucille Able, of
Port Clinton, Ohio, and two grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded her
in death.
Friends may call at Urbnek and Schlei Funeral Home, Ninth Street entrance, Manitowoc,
after 3 p.m. Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Friday and at the church until time of service.
