JOSEPH V. CHERMAK
Joseph Chermak, 79, of 927 N. 10th St.. Manitowoc. died Sunday of a heart
attack at home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home. Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Chermak was born Sept. 29. 1883, at Tisch Mills, son of the late Joseph and
Anna Huletz Chermak. He married Vlasta Lopour at Racine in 1910 and the couple
established residence at Manitowoc. He had been employed 40 years as a meat
cutter at Chermak Meat Market, retiring in 1948. Mrs. Chermak preceded him in
death in 1937.
Mr. Chermak was an avid gardener and sportsman and had been a member of the
Manitowoc Unit of Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Assn.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell R. Liebert, of Manitowoc, and a sister,
Mrs. Chris Sorensen. of St. Petersburg. Fla. Four brothers and three sisters
preceded him in death.
