Mrs. Henry Gauger, Sr., 67, of 619 South 28th street, died suddenly of a heart
attack at the home early last night. Mrs. Gauger had been engaged in her usual
household duties during the day. She was stricken and died before the arrival
of a physician.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Gauger, nee Emma Springborne, was born at Rosendale, Wis., in 1873 and in
1901 was married to Henry Gauger. They located at Corona, S.D., and two years
later returned to Wisconsin, locating at Marshfield. Fourteen years ago they
came to this city.
Survivors are the widower; three daughters, Mrs. George Lieb of Walla Walla,
Wash., Mildred and Erna, of this city; two sons, Harold and Henry Jr., of this
city; three brothers, William of Ripon, Charles and Fred of Rosendale; four
sisters, Mrs. Fred ____ ________, Mrs. John Jones, of Oshkosh, Mrs. John Davis
of Wautoma, Mrs. Jerome Barber of Ripon; and three grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Wednesday at 6 p.m. until the
hour of the services.
