Mrs. Ida Sanderson Hansen, 73, of 850 North 14th street, lifelong resident of
the city, died Tuesday night at the family home. Mrs. Hansen had six sons in
service in the first World war.
Private funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the home, the Rev.
Ernest Zoerb officiating. Six sons will be pallbearers. Interment will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Hansen was born in this city in 1869 and in 1890 was married to Edgar
Hansen, well known painting contractor in Manitowoc. Mr. Hansen died in 1930.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hodik, of Milwaukee; Mrs. Leon Promen,
wife of Fond du Lac’s mayor; 10 sons, Alderman Delmar Hansen of the Sixth ward,
Edgar, Jr., Burton, Leonard, Paul, William, and Gordon, of this city, Vernon
of Sheboygan, Harold and Robert of Milwaukee; four brothers, George, Sigward,
Melvin and Elmer, all of this city; and 16 grandchildren.
The body will be moved to the Hansen home from the Frazier mortuary and may be
viewed after 1 p.m. Thursday.
