Mrs. Engeborg P. Hanson (sic), a pioneer resident of the county,
died on Tuesday at her home in the town of Manitowoc, after an
illness of four months. Her death was due to heart disease. Mrs.
Hanson was born in Valders, Norway, Feb. 28, 1829. She was married
to Mr. Hanson in Norway and with her husband came to Wisconsin in
1865, settling on a farm in the town of Eaton. After two years
residence in Eaton the family removed to the town of Manitowoc,
where the deceased continuonsly (sic) resided until her death. Her
husband died in 1877. She is survived by four children, eighteen
grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The children are
Ole P. Hanson of Cato and Peter Hanson, Mrs. S. Sanderson and Mrs.
S.O. Berge of this city.
Deceased was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and was highly
repsected by all who knew her.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the
home and at 2 o'clock from St. Paul's Norwegian Lutheran church of
which she was a member. Rev. Espeseth will conduct the services.
Interment will be at the Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Engelor P. Hanson(sic) of a heart attack. Mrs. Hanson was born
in Norway but has been a resident of our county since 1865. She
is survived by 4 children, 18 grandchildren, and 12 great-
grandchildren. The funeral was held Sunday.
