Lois was born to Howard and Olivene (Bumstead) Walkington. She married Thomas Hansen on Aug. 17, 1946, in Greenwood. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2002.

Her parents, one sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three children, Julie Patzmann, Eric (Debbie) Hansen and Thomas (Cathy) Hansen; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
