Funeral services will be held at Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church, Rockwood, Tuesday,
Oct. 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Erwin was born Sept. 6, 1918 in the Town of Kossuth to the late John and Olga
Rohrbach Hardrath. During World War II, from 1941 to 1945, he married Alice L.
Eisenmann in Mishicot. Erwin was employed by Rockwell Lime Company for 40 years.
He retired in 1983. He was fire chief of the Rockwood Volunteer Fire Department
from 1962 through 1982. He was a member of Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Alice, a granddaughter, Amy (Jonathan) Parins of Green
Bay; a brother, Alfred (Ruth) Hardrath of Newton; a sister, Ruth VanDeHey of Big
Bend; a sister-in-law, Lois Hardrath of Stockbridge; also nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Thomas,
two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church, Tuesday, 9 a.m. until the time
of services at 11 a.m. Memorials would be appreciated to Rockwood Ev. Lutheran
Church.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc,
assisted the Hardrath family with funeral arrangements.
