Mrs. Wilbert (June) Hasche, age 89, of 2415 N. Rapids Road, Manitowoc, died on Saturday afternoon, July 10, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
The former June Kluenker was born on Dec. 3, 1920, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Charles and Emma Rabenhorst Kluenkner (sic). She was a 1938 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On April 18, 1942, June was married to Wilbert M. Hasche at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Wilbert preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1989. In the past, June worked as a bookkeeper for Johnson Hills Department Store, Roorbachs Flowers and Hasche Heating and Sheet Metal. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies of Immanuel and June was known as the historian of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Wilbert and June were chuch custodians of Immanuel for many years. Together June and Wilbert enjoyed researching family genealogy.
(Survivors omitted for privacy.) Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Emma Kluenker; her husband: Wilbert M. Hasche; one brother, Karl Kluenker; three brothers-in-law: Arlin Stetson, Marvin Hasche, Paul Kempfert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 916 Pine St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Schossow and the Rev. Nicholas Maglietto will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in June's name would be appreciated for Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
