BESSIE (PETERIK) HENDERSON

MANITOWOC GIRL DIES AT TORONTO, CAN.
Body of Mrs. John Henderson to be Brought Here
REMEMBERED HER AS BESSIE PETERIK
Messages received by relative yesterday conveyed the sad announcement of the
death of Mrs. John Henderson, Nee Bessie Peterik, of this city, at Toronto,
Canada, where she had made her home for some time. Mrs. Henderson’s death
occurred Monday evening at the home of a friend with whom she was visiting
while Mr. Henderson was in New York on business. The address of relatives of
Mrs. Henderson was not known to Toronto friends and notification of the death
was not sent here until the return of Mr. Henderson to Toronto from New York
from which city he was summoned.
Arrangements have been made for the burial of Mrs. Henderson in this city and
the body, accompanied by the husband and by Mrs. William Marshal, a sister of
the decedent, will reach here tomorrow afternoon. The burial will be held from
the home of Wenzel Kadow Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Henderson, a daughter of Mrs. M. Peterik, Buffalo street, and 29 years of
age, is remembered here as a young lady of unusual beauty. She made her residence
at Chicago for some time and was married in that city to Mr. Henderson, a New
York salesman, and the couple had lately resided at Toronto. Besides her husband
and mother, Mrs. Henderson is survived by one son, four sisters, and three
brothers, Mrs. Wenzel Kadow, Mrs. Adolph Vollendorf, this city, Mrs. William
Marshal, New York, Miss Libbie Peterik of Deadwood, S. D., and Joseph, John and
Louis Peterik of this city.
News of the death of Mrs. Henderson was a great shock to the family here as it
was not known that she had been ill.
