MINNIE JOHANSEN

Mrs. Herman Johansen, 76, of 180? Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday
at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Minnie Peters Jan. 23, 187 , in Germany and six years later
accompanied her parents to Two Rivers. On Nov. 9, 1904 she was married to Herman
Johansen. The latter was employed for many years at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding
Inc. He died in 1953.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Brey and Mrs. Arthur Kerscher of Manitowoc;
five sons, Harry of Bremerton, Wash., Raymond of Sheboygan Falls and Elmer, George
and Edmund of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Rector of Parma, Ohio, Mrs.
Lucille Schaefer of Milwaukee and Mrs. Christina Vaudreiul of Grand Marias, Mich.;
brother, Albert of Monroe, Mich.; five half-brothers, Robert Ahlgrim of Sevastopol,
Calif.; Edmund Ahlgrim of Detroit and Frank, Walter and Charles Ahlgrim of Chicago,
and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Friday. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
