Frank Kloida, 66, of 1122 N. 17th St., Manitowoc, died early Saturday at his home, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Vernon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kloida was born January 24, 1896 at Menominee, Mich., son of the late Wencil and Margaret Fait Kloida. He attended school in Menominee and when 14 years old moved to Lena, Wis. with his family. As a young man he was employed as a carpenter in the Lena area.
After his marriage in June 2, 1922 to Catherine Lusnia, the couple moved to Manitowoc where he was employed by the C. Reiss Coal Co. for 15 years. He then was employed by Plantico Coal Co. until he retired two years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and in the Wisconsin National Guard and Company E of the State Guard.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Eden of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Braley of Marinette and Mrs. Eugene Muchowski of Manitowoc; a brother, James of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Witak of Peshtigo, Mrs. John Graham and Mrs. Margaret Kutchera of Oconto and Mrs. John Olson of Manitowoc and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
