Mrs. Emma J. Kraus, 99, a resident of Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Thursday
afternoon, March 26, 1987 at the Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Hayes will officiate with burial to follow at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Kraus was born March 11, 1888 at Reedsville, Wisconsin, daughter of the late August and Emilie Sorge Ottelien. She attended schools
in Reedsville. She married Emil Kraus on May 11, 1911 at Reedsville. The couple farmed all of their lives in the Town of Rockland, coming
to Manitowoc in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Kraus was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond Kraus of Reedsville and Marvin and Verona Kraus of Manitowoc; two daughters,
Helen Doka of Milwaukee and Mabel Daley of Rhinelander; two sisters, Esther Hussey and Miss Viola Ottelien, both of Manitowoc; 13
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, two sisters and
a grandchild.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 pm to 9 pm this Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home and
then at the church from 12 noon until the hour of service.
