HATTIE A. KUCHENBECKER

Mrs. Charles Kuchenbecker, 55, nee Hatti Basken, died today at her home at 915
Chicago street, following a lingering illness.
She was born on the town of Kossuth in 1893 and after her marriage in 1911 to
Charles Kuchenbecker, the couple settled on a farm in Westboro, Wis. Seven years
later they moved to Manitowoc and in 1925 started a grocery business.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Emil of this city and three grandchildren;
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Basken Sr., of Melnik; three brothers, George Jr.,
of Denmark, Edward of Melnik and Henry of Francis Creek; one sister, Mrs. Carl
Pagels of Melnik.
Funeral services will be held at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home at 2 p.m.
Tuesday with the Rev. Yaroslav Vraney officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
The body may be viewed from Sunday evening until the time of services.
