NORBERT P. KUMBALEK

Norbert P. Kumbalek, age 85, of Manitowoc, went to his eternal rest Thursday,
November 12, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
He was born May 24, 1907, in Two Rivers, son of Louis and Hattie Landt Kumbalek.
He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church. He married the former Lydia C.
Eichhorst on November 28, 1929, in Appleton. Mr. Kumbalek was employed as an auto
mechanic at various garages, was an employee of the City of Manitowoc as a
mechanic, bridge tender and worked at the sewage plant. He was also a security
guard at Mirro until 1962. During World War II, he was employed at the United
States Naval Shipyards in San Francisco, California.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and
Mary Ann, Sun Prairie, Richard and Ellen, John and Carol, both of Manitowoc; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Steve Lovelass, Mishicot; Shirley and Jerome
Brunette, Fond du Lac; one son-in-law, Dale Reinemann, Sheboygan; fifteen
grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law,
Ernest and Violet, Manitowoc, and Marcie Kumbalek, Mishicot; and many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Reinemann in 1984, one
sister and four brothers.
Family and friends may all from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 1992, at Holy
Innocents Catholic Church. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. The
Celebrant will be Rev. Gerald Foley. Cremation will follow at inurnment at Evergreen
Cemetery. The Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is handling funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to Holy Innocents
Catholic Church, Holy Family Memorial Medical Center or Manitowoc Healthcare Center.
