CARRIE MARY KUMMER

Mrs. Carrie M. Kummer, 81, of 3737 Dale St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning,
December 31, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services
were held 11 am this Saturday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Ronald P. Reimer officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Kummer was born March 24, 1906 at Whitelaw, daughter of the late John and
Mary Grall Staudinger. She grew up and was educated in Whitelaw. She was married
to Emil C. Kummer, February 1, 1922, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw.
He preceded her in death May 10, 1981. Mrs. Kummer was a member of St. Paul
Catholic Church, St. Paul Christian Women, V.F.W. Auxiliary Otto Oas Post 659,
World War I Barracks and Manitowoc Senior Citizens. Carrie enjoyed her grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Marion Kummer, Harold
and Evelyn, Eugene and Carol, all of Manitowoc, Dennis and Christine of Two Rivers;
a daughter and a son-in-law, Arlene and Richard Erdmann of Manitowoc; a brother and
sister-in-law, Reinhart and Irene Staudinger of Manitowoc; four sisters and a
brother-in-law, Mrs. Mayme Rodney of New Holstein, Mrs. Elsie Fricke, Mrs. Deloris
Waskow, Dorothy and Melvin Mandel, all of Manitowoc; 24 grandchildren, 26 great
grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded
in death by a grandson, Charles, two sisters and a brother.
Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with
funeral arrangements.
