William C Kurth, 88, of Family Heritage Nursing Home and formerly of 618A S.
26th St., Maitowoc, died Sunday evening November 15, at the nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 1: 30 P.M. Wednesday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will
be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kurth was born June 27 , 1893, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and
Johanna Kurth. He attended First German Lutheran School, Westside High school
and Milwaukee School of Engineering. He married Edna Mittnacht April 5, 1915,
at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1965.
Mr. Kurth had been employed with Chicago and Northwestern Railroad 40 years,
retiring in 1953. He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law and three daughters and
sons-in-law, 31 grandchildren, 38 great granchildren and a great great grand-
aughter and other relatives and friends. A daughter Eunice, a brother Richard,
eight sisters and a daughter-in-law preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday
and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, and at the church from 12 noon until the time
of service.
