After a lingering illness, Fred W. Ladwig, aged 81 years passed away yesterday
at the hospital here. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at
1:30 from the late home, 1315 Division street and at two o'clock from the
German Lutheran church, Rev. Koenninger officiating.
The deceased was born at Meckelberg, Germany, July 15, 1848, and had been a
resident of Manitowoc for a great many years. He is survived by seven daughters
and a son. They are: Mrs. Casper Leglar, Mrs. Helen Wilhelm, Mrs. George Hauk
and Mrs. August Kramer, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Charles Schrimpf and Miss Elsie
Ladwig, both of this city, Mrs. Alfred Pitts of Fond du Lac and George Ladwig
of this city.
One brother, August Ladwig of New London also survives.
