JOSEPH P. LANGENKAMP

Joseph P. Langenkamp, 99, of Park Lawn Home, formerly of 928 Lincoln Blvd,
Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at the home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Phipps Memorial Chapel of First
Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase J. Zanotti will officiate with
burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Langenkamp was born July 9, 1877, at Tisch Mills, son of the late Bernard
and Minnie Brimmer Langenkamp. He was reared and attended schools in the Tisch
Mills area and received his high school diploma from Janesville School for the
Blind, where he was taught piano tuning. He sold and tuned pianos from 1898
when he moved to Manitowoc, at Manitowoc, Milwaukee and Door County, until he
was 90 years old. He married Alma Halberg June 26, 1907, at Tisch Mills. He was
a member of First Presbyterian Church and an elder of the church for many years.
Survivors include his wife, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Gurth and Margaret
of Waukesha and Gordon and Elizabeth of Merrill; five grandchildren, six great
grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and four sisters preceded
him in death.
Friends may call at Phipps Memorial Chapel after 11 a.m. Friday until the time
of service. Memorials may be made to the church. Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
